Camper of the Week AwardArt teacher Harriett teaching a student

Summer Arts Camp 2008 is accessible for children with and without disabilities. The camp day starts with Opening Circle. Opening and Closing Circles are times when all campers and counselors get together to sing camp songs, give and receive "warm fuzzies" and share information with each other. The campers are divided into small groups by age and go to different classes with their counselors. The classes consist of drama, dance, music, arts, ceramics, games and cooking. The counselors are responsible for the health and well-being of campers, and the teachers are responsible for the class content. The counselors are required to meet with the parents or guardians prior to camp starting in order to make the transition to camp a positive experience. A flexible schedule of 2-3 times a week or half days is available.
